I have a Bi Color for about a year and a half in a 75 gal. He was fine until I put in a small 2-3 in clam. He started to picked at it so I removed him to my QT tank. That was about 6 weeks ago. I was wondering that since he has been isolated on his own for 6 weeks, what are the chances that his behavior would change if I would try to put him back into the main? I had to pretty much gut the tank to get him out the first time. Really hate to give him up but I know he can't stay in the QT tank for ever. He is about 2-2.5 inches long.

As always

THANKS!!

Once they have tasted clam, they always go back for seconds. A semi-reef safe fish can discover later in life, that the softys and clams are good eats.

to find an angel/butterfly that doesn't eat corals/clams is hard, but you'd have better luck if you put in the coral BEFORE the fish. He's gonna want to taste/touch/see anything new you've put into his little environment.

He has been in my QT tank for 6 weeks (after being removed for picking on the claim) that is why I was wondering if being the new guy in town(maintank) if his behavior might change. I have a Coral Beauty in the main that could care less about the claim or corals. He has been in there since day one. Maybe lucky with him or maybe too soon, time will tell.
