Who here is currently using bio pellets and what have been your experiences? I currently have a low nutrient sps system and have been considering trying these as an alternative to GFO as the bacteria will have the added benefit of feeding the corals. Anyone with a low nutrient system using them? My tank is currently fishless due to an ick outbreak, so it will be fallow for 3 months and the sps are starting to fade in color. P04 measures
.01 on a hanna meter and No3 is less than 1 on an elos test kit.

I dont have 50 posts so it wont let me post on that thread... but I have been a member since 2004 lol. Im a lurker and mainly post over on the pacific northwest site. I am in for 2L if possible but live down in the vancouver area. Are they going to ship to you? are you willing to ship to me? No problem if that is too much trouble.

Yes they are shipping to me. I have a couple people that is already in the GB that I will be shipping to once they arrive. You would have to pay for shipping. Which should'nt be more than $5-10 bucks to ship to vancouver from Tacoma. LMK for sure and I will add you to the GB. All the info on price and payment is on the GB thread.

also, do you want to be paid for shipping now or wait until after it arrives? If so, how much should I include for shipping to 98665

I just checked shipping from tacoma to vancouver through UPS. The cost is around $9-10 up to 10lbs which it should'nt weigh more than that for 2L. So I think including $10 for shipping would be more than enough. I will refund any difference back to you. Any how PM my your PP info when and if you are interested and ready. thanks

2L please

I can not post on the GB thread due to not having 50 posts. I have sent payment for 2L and would like to have it shipped to me if possible and I will cover it.

Thanks
Floyd

hey roscoe, do you know of any dosing guidlines on these pellets? I have a somewhat large system, over 400 gallons, but cant find the guidline. the other products like the NP bio and the SWC pellets very greatly in how much to use.

There is a few links that I have in the GB thread that talks about the product and dosage.

This is a new product for the USA.

I know one guy using them now on a tray in his sump. he says they are working well with the tank but its only been 3 weeks. But he is not a common example he runs a dialyseas system w/fuge and a very low nutrient content to start.

I think the Tank of the month on RC is a polish guy w/pellets.

Any questions about the new vertex bio-pellets can be answered via the vertex rep, so fire away.

You are right about Tank of the month on RC - the guys in Europe (read Poland as an example) are going nuts about them. But based on info on polish reef forums it takes a little bit more than just to dump them into a reactor and problems will be solved :) it works, but you got to do it right.
