i would gladly remove my damsel i didnt want it in there in the first place and when i had the chance to move it couple months ago mum wouldnt let me becasue its her favorite fish in there but i knew it would cause problems
when the tang was caught before sudden death it was acctully the clowns harrising it, it was hiding near there anenomes but they tryed to chase it in to one if my brother hadnt spotted this the tang would be gone, so after i removel the damsel an add the tang to the opposite side to the clowns, will they still be a threat to it or was that more showing hirachy to the tang?
the damsel seem to be flaring at the clowns also.
are fish traps worth the money i made a quick one with a bottle to no avail
and alison i have never seen ur tank so have u got a pic
sorry for long post

I have used a fish trap with mixed results. If you have the patience you should be able to catch a damsel using one as they are so bold and usually don't hesitate to investigate once food is presented. I would put the trap in the tank with the door left open for a few days so the fish gets used to it. Put food in the trap so they become comfortable going into it and feeding. Eventually you will have to commit some time to waiting and watching for the damsel to go in and then release the trap's door. Maybe a LFS has one they would rent to you for a daily usage fee? I have also used the tiny hook on thin fishing line method. Remember to clip the barb if there is one and use a hook thats small enough the fish can get its mouth onto it but big enough it won't swallow it completely. Just my experiences:)
