Well I had my first death in my 10 gal nano. My wife found my boxer crab dead, kinda sucks he was my favorite thing in that tank:cry: . Is it true that they don't live in capitivy very long? Any info would be great I am debating about getting a new once or just putting a different crab in the tank. Thanks for the help

I'm sorry for your loss. Boxer crabs are hilarious to watch in a nano. (Don't bother putting one in a reef as you'll never see it). I found with my boxer crab that it wasn't fast enough to get food over my fish and shrimp. I suspect my first one starved. I bought an eyedropper (made to give babies liquid medicine) and target fed my second boxer crab. That one lived for a long time.

Sorry to hear about your boxer...I don't have any crabs at all so couldn't say, but I wish you the best on your next purchase:)

I think I had the same problem and that is why mine died my wonderful lownmower bleeny is a pig and eats all the food as soon as it hits the tank. I know how you feel it is so cool to watch him when he does come out to eat I think I am going to get another one once I get home. Thanks to all
