Brittle star information

Anyone have links/information on brittle stars?
Or does anyone have any experience with these stars?

I just added two juvenile onyx clowns on Friday night and now I am missing one . The only known creature in my tank that I think might have eaten the clown was the star.

Any comments/information is greatly appreciated!!

Brittlestar is a little vaig, can you describe what kind you have? Color, markings, size etc. FWIW, green starts are usually fish eaters unless kept fed otherwise. HAve you checked around the tank, floor, sump, overflows ect? Do you have any 4 legged pets?

Yep, checked everywhere around the tank that I can see.
It is a black/brown brittle star, at least that's what the LFS told me.
No markings on the star, it is a solid color with no id markings.

I had the exact same expirience when I begun in this hobby like 7 years ago, I used to have a long nose butterlfly in a 70 galllon tank. and he was the only fish I used to have in there ( and a red bristtle star). the longnose lived ok like for 5 months but as soon as I added the star it dissappear at the next day

The ones I've had the best luck with in terms of peaceful are Ophiocoma scolopendrina & Ophiolepis superba.
