im not liking that atmann 2500 pump much, but, it's 450 lph of air for $130, so a decent amount of power for a 40g for sure...it's just real cheesy chinese construction... but your tank should do real well with that skimmer.

What would you recommend for a 90 gallon tank? Right now it is very light but my plan is med to heavy in the next 6 months. I dont want to be limited by my skimmer.

Yep yep yep yep Bret is right. the 160 would skimm the heck out of your 90
No mods needed. ready out of the box!!

I was going to go with the 160 as well but It was def too much for my 40b:)

Never too much skimming. That just means you don't have to do water changes as often. JMO
You know I have a cheapo Bak Pak on my 40 that is why I do 10g water change a week. If I had lets say the MSX160 i would probally do 10g a water change once a month.

I agree never too much skimming but I'm saving over $100 that I can put toward something else. I'll post my results once I get the skimmer up and running. :)

fo sho, ive been interested in the bubble magnus too, I'd like to see one in person

Nuocean is good people, they will do you right. They have good cs and great prices. The bm skimmers are built very sturdy. They are designed well too. The models with the atman (via aqua 2600) are one's i'd not suggest just because i've worked with those pump's in the past and they are junk. But if it dies you can order one off ebay for 15-20bux. They are right there next to resun, king and OTP pump's reliability wise. But if you can get a years worth out of it, u done good!

I'm sure it can be upgraded, but why spend money on something that ain't broke. : ) Just run it stock until something happens. Hopefully it works flawlessly.
