recycled stand from 29 gal ,
so so far im invested around 210 bucks
thanks to the raffle
have a couple ideas for the lighting .....
1 i could use recycle a t5 24 in bulb fixture and pendant it above the tank removing the stock lid
or 2 i could keep the stock lid and use maybe the light strips for the eco pico . havent decided yet

That is so cool. I love those tanks. Have fun with it. Keep us posted with pics :)

....just bring me the back side so I can build the overflow box. This will be cool if it works, but I'm still not sold.

thanks for the offer , i have one sitting here already , just need to figgure out what im gonna use to hang it , or im gonna hide leds in the factory lid

Because I know you subscribe to your threads and it will go straight to your phone I am posting here in order to annoy you with beeps in your sleep....

oh and go LED retrofit...since the already make one.

ok so some work got done on this project last night....... worked on the over flow , and got the baffles in the sump . cross your fingers ! gonna water test tomorrow !

not pretty but what can i say , 2 am and silicon fumes , after a few hrs of weldon fumes . should do the trick !

so for the over flow . trying to keep a complete stock look to the tank . want it to not look like there is a sump and or over flow . so i decided to modify the original box on the balk of the tank . again cross your finger s !
jerryscamera610.jpg

the top of the edge is acrylic so trying to use that instead of drilling the tank
1/8 in acrylic trimmed to fit inside the box as a base
bulkheads installed

a little weldon , ok a lot of weldon just to be sure . more pictures later .....
should get some time to work on it in the next few days

I have a haniging kit. Dont know if it will work or not, but you can have it. You could modify the light brackets or make your own I'm sure

so after letting things cure over night , i decided to do a little water testing !
results are in !!!!!!!!
sump ??????? small leak on the 3rd baffle resealed !!! fuge sealed ! yay ! sump is a go !!!!!

now for the crucial test ..... the over flow box ........ inital fill ........ my plug leaked ... but every thing looked good
2nd fill replaces plugs with wine corks ... 2 hrs later , looking good , going to go check again .......... looking good , will probally do a light skim with silicon just in case but im going to let the box sit till morning and probally start plumbing sunday !thanks again seth

If it is holding water you don't need silicon. Silicon will do nothing if the weld on sealed it completely then it is sealed....permanently fused into 1 piece....it is now 1 with itself instead of split personality's torn apart....coexisting as one...complete....yin and yang....solid....melded, chemically fused.

Oh and it also sealed.

Good morning
