ok so here is proof of concept ! a few changes still need to be made ! the ball valve got rid of the gurgling ! using my t5 24 in hung untill i can figgure out led lighting

so the pump runs the tank just fine , tank and fuge together , not so much . the lighting fan is god awful loud . and the skimmer also sounds like a train wreck . so right now not running the skimmer and thinking about coming up with a creative led suloution

oh ya total water volume is some wear round 12 / 13 gals . and i cheated on cycling , pulled 5 gal out of my tank at the studio a cup of sand from the sump and live rock

ok so its been a little bit , but stopped of at barrier today to solve a couple of issues i was dealing with the tank . first to address the lighting issue .......!
4 ecoxotic 3 watt strips ! ! the whole plan was to keep it all looking stock and i was not happy with the stock lighting , put up mt old t5 and the thing friggin drove me crazy , exaust fan was loud !
and didnt like the look . so the issue of how to get coverage in lighting across the entire tank came into play . hmmm how to ? how to ??
can you guess what comes into play ??? yup ! weldon .
so i cut some scrapps of plastics and then here comes the weldon

so what do ya think of the changes

ok so now its on the tank and the old light is gone !

is the noise coming from an air sucking sound or a buzzing pump sound??

His needle wheel was toasted from the factory on that Eshoppes skimmer. BRA is going to help him out getting it replaced and then it will hopefully be better.

im very happy with the service at barrier , the peeps are wonderfull , i knew i was at a comfortable place the first time i was taken there and i walked in seing a woman with pink hair wearing a " eat fresh /Zombie shirt " muahahah thanks bri . well worth the drive from here , . so now what to put in the tank . plan on stocking it some time in the next few days

Nice tank!!!! like your lighting setup you installed, i have an edge as well and have always wanted to modify it like you have accomplished. how do your corals like the leds?

The LED's look sweet! Your idea to get some coverage seems to have worked pretty well. I emailed Ecoxotic and they said that transformer should have run all four. Must have been a bad unit. Just return it like we discussed Glad things came together so nicely!

Thanks fishy , so far things are going good with the tank , new corals in and It seems I need to lower my photo period , they seem to like just the blues the best Right now , but i'm thinking with a Lill training it will be fine , the tank is pretty shalow . So 4 strips are probally a little much . Gotta put them on a timer
