Okay, so I use Randy's 2 part (actually 3, with Magnesium) I've always used this calculator, http://reef.diesyst.com/flashcalc/flashcalc.html , but for some reason, also have this calculator in my favorites, http://home.comcast.net/~jdieck1/chemcalc.html . Today, I decided to compare the calculators.

Today, I tested everything. My total water volume is 240 gallons. My Alk is at 2.3 meq/lt. My target is 3.2 meq/lt. According to the first calculator, the one I've always used, I need to add 14.6 ounces of solution. According to the second calculator, I need to add 29.2 ounces. Both calculators gave me the same amount of Calcium supplement to raise from 395 to 420 @ 24.9 ounces. However, the Alkalinity results are VASTLY different. Any ideas??

I know it's not the same question but it's about the calculator. I haven't use it yet but I am about to for my low dhk and ph problem using recipe #1 baking soda. I am a little confuse if the recommended dosage "178.5 ml; 6 fl oz; 35.7 tsp" is the dry or wet?

I figure if I dose wet wouldn't hurt (less than dry cause of delusion), if that is not enough, that'd be dry. Better be safe than sorry... well since you guys are here talking about it, I will not have to guess.

Sorry for hijacking your post and thx in advanced.
