Okay, nestled in amongst the palys is this fluorescent green thing. I hope someone can ID it for me! This thing does not move, or at least it has not moved from this spot. It seems to be footed beneath the zoas, in a hole in the rock. It does not seem to be irritating the zoas. The zoas are a little closed up in the photo because I moved the rock to get pics. But when you disturb or touch it, it retracts in the hole in the rock. It’s got to be an anemone of some kind, I think, but if anyone has a positive ID it would be so appreciated. And sorry the pics aren't great. Maybe I can get better ones later if I need to. Hopefully these will be good enough.

most should say Majano . Not good.
Take the frag out and scrape it off , most mj's will come off easy.

ARSA

if you cant get to the base try IC or epoxy to cement it in , or take the frag and zip it up to expose the base of the MJ then remove it.
I would love a frag of those if you crack it up:)

I was wondering if it might be majano, but it does not look like other pics of majano that I have seen. I will pull it out tomorrow and see about gettingit out. It wont be easy. Its buried in the hole under the footing of the zoas. I will have to scrap them off too to get to it.

We might be able to do a trade;)

OH, and I found another pic that is identical to this, so I will pull it tomorrow and get you a frag....less the majano:)!

yeah it is a majano.
There are several different colors of majanos and some are cool looking, but spread pretty fast.
They usually don't sting the zoanthids, but will out compete them for space.

I dont mind this one so much, its kinda nice contrast in color and shape, but if it is going to spread, I would rather not have it. Its not that cool looking.

I've seen others pictures of them, but never actually saw one until now. I was going to cut part of the rock and frag those zoas to get this guy out and the little bugger moved on me. It actually moved to a spot that was real easy to just break a whole piece of the rock off, and in the trash it went. Unless there was another that I didnt see before. If it is not the same one, the one in the pics has not come back out.
