Ive never seen them but I like the concept of being able to enlarge the skimmer as your system grows. Hopefully someone here has used them and can fill us in.

Yup I've seen them and used them. I have also built them. They are a very good skimmer. Check out this thread http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=19451 for some more info. They have several advantages but a few problem issues that can be easily overcome. (exept for the need to keep the Beckett injector clean) I also posted somethings about Beckett skimmers in my forum http://www.reeffrontiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18015

Hope this helps. Another big plus to the MRC skimmer ( and a few other manufacturers, including Big-T and myself ) is that you can add extensions to the skimmer to increase capacity. I would get the skimmer as tall as you can fit and afford and go for the duel injector option if you can fit it in the budget. You also need to get a waste collector of any size with a ping pong ball shut down. (flooding from a missadjusted skimmer really sucks!)
