When I vastly upgraded my skimmer last summer ... I just started feeding a lot more.
Seems like people have nutrient problems [or brownout problems] and will upgrade to a very good skimmer. But ... there is no change in the feeding, even though the dissolved nutrients are getting pulled out better/more/faster.
Any suprise some corals don't do as well? Available food transforms to no food available - instead of `better cleaned water' with more food coming in.
IMO, a larger skimmer allows you to feed more while remaining problem-free.
