I would like to know what people use to clean out the crud from your sumps and off your rock in your tank.

I was thinking of using a microfiltration system hooked onto a sequence pump.

Here's my example. What do you guys do?

Welcome to RF James! I actually only siphon the substrate when doing water changes with hopes that whatever was on the rocks, was either lifted into the water column for the filters to pick up, or is sitting on the sandbed for me to remove. That is a cool picture you posted. I've seen a picture like that before, if not that same one. Thanks for sharing and it should be interesting to see the other responses.

yea, my wife has time to get on here more often than me. I work and go to college full time on both. So, I'm a little busy. Even with all of that, I've managed to pull together a 700 gallon tank and that has over a 1000 gallons total volume.

Thanks for your info.
James
