i am having a problem with microbubbles coming from my CL...i saw someone else in my other thread had the same problem...how can it be stopped, or reduced at least?????

Either pull a vacuum and find the leak or create pressure and find the leak.

Plumbing may need sliming up as well a bit which will take time. Not sure if that is your case, but just thought I'd toss that out as well:)

i did have to plug 2 of the outputs up...i didn't tape them or anything..they drip into the tank a little...i had to plug them because i don't have all of my locline peices yet...could this be the problem??? i would have thought that the bubbles would be coming from the intake somewhere

The bubbles can come from either side. Its going to be any connection outside the water. If its the exhaust side it will only be one that has water moving through it. So the plugged outputs wouldnt be the problem spots.
A leak in the exhaust side will cause a venturi effect and make micro bubbles.

on the outputs, all of the threaded parts are above the water...i have 8 outputs with threaded connectors.....5 of them are running, but i didn't tape those either...all of them are leaking from the threads...should i tape them up????

oh i 'm definately going to try it, but i am going to wait until Monday when i get the rest of my locline parts in the mail

Is any of the loc-line above the water surface? I know, I know some people can get away with it that way but maybe it’s not so in your case.

Are you not supposed to have any of the loc-line joints out of the water? I wander if this is my problem with my mircro bubbles because I have 8 3/4'' outlets and they all are over the top with about 1 1/2'' of the loc-line out of the water...

Any input?

That may be it lock line can give the venturi effect and doesnt leak because there is no back pressure.

Any suggestions on how I can fix it? I am now thinking this is my problem......

Thanks Don, and sorry for Hi-Jacking your Thread Ron.... I know there are several of us out there that have this same problem..

Either extend the pvc or epoxy the ones /links out of the water.

Thanks Don... I know I’ve read about that elsewhere before but can’t seem to remember where. With two kids sometimes I think I’m loosing my mind!

With two kids I'm sure you already lost your mind. Dont worry small portions of it grow back when they grow up.:)

When I first set up my CL with my barracuda I would get a rush of micro bubbles every ten minutes or so. It took me a week to realize that my end cap on the primer "T" was not quite tight enough. Maybe you should get that pipe wrench out and give that a try. I have my barracuda split into two retrurn systems on top. One half is my Oceans motions wave maker and the other half is just constant returns for near total 16 loclines. When I turn off half of the system I get a big rush of micro bubbles possibly from loc line venturi effects but it seems to come from else where. You may be having some back pressure issues. Good luck.

Lol Don... But I’m getting old too so I think I’m fighting a loosing battle here!:p

Yeah, maybe this is just a temporary thing since you’re not running all your outlets Ron. The higher velocity running through the outlets you have right now might be causing a venturi effect. (If they’re above the surface that is...) I guess you might have to just grit your teeth and wait till your other lines come in to see if this really is an issue.

yeah, i will have all of the outlets opened up by Monday evening....i will also check the cap on the primer...i thought about that last night, but i am sure i tightened it.......Trido,i am having the exact same thing you are talking about, except my bubbles are blowing out about every 5 min( a ton of buubles)
