Foreplay. You are married and do not know what it is?:D You need to watch closely if you want a chance at keeping the little ones. Have a tank set up to put the eggs in and some food ready.

is it safe to keep the eggs/babies together with the parent/s? Or do they need to be separated? Just curious...

It is my understanding that the parents will end up eating them if in the same tank. Also you need to modify your intakes etc or they will just get chopped up. Elmo can tell you all you ever wanted to know about raising clowns.

I second the opinion that Elmo is the guy to talk to. As far as the eggs surviving. It's quite possible but pretty unlikely that they'll survive much past hatching. Clowns go through a plaktonic state where they aren't even really a fish...lol. They'll float around in the current like this for awhile before actually developing into fish fry. It's very unlikely they'll survive this stage in a community reef setting. It takes some pretty specific equipment and tank to raise them. The tanks probably going to have to be set up for that purpose.

When the lights come on today the one clown fish is setting on top of my powerhead. The other one is right under the powerhead waiting for her/him to get off of the powerhead and will swim after her/him.. Both of the clown fish look kinda beat up...Is this normal??? Here is a clip of what im talking about. The eggs could end up on top of the powerhead???

are you sure the one under is just not being territorial .....i thought the male was suppose to be smaller than the other one :p.....they both look the same size.
Ilham is in Hawaii right now so it'll be hard for him to post in here ....at least until he comes back .

have you checked the clown workshop? i thought there was something in there about breeding .

well they have never been like this before. So thats why im scratching my head on why one is on top of the powerhead and the other is below. I have had them since july the lfs had them together when i picked them up from there..
