cool lionfish

I was looking around and found these pics of this lionfish that was up in new york..I have never seen any that had these colors. I was reading the article and they were saying that there seeing more numbers of lionfish there. Kinda cool

Very interesting...never seen a lion with those markings...a color morph of Pterois radiata perhaps? Also not sure I understood your post...did they catch that thing in the wild up there, or what?
