I just picked up a frag and neither the guy selling or myself know what it is. Can someone point me in a direction. The color is a bit brown, I'm guessing from not enough light and has green like polyps similar to a super natural monti.

not sure either, so as it colors up, keep us updated with pics.

I'll do that.

I wish I could find something similar though. I've tried Coralpedia ect and nothing even close. It's like a Christmas present I'll just have to wait and see.

So here it is 2 weeks later. I've asked around and the general consensus is Blue RIdge Coral.

Not blue ridge coral which is not only brown, has a quite distinctive encrusting growth pattern. The skeleton is naturally blue. Have personally grown it for over a decade. . .

Your frag could be even a tiny piece of Garf Bonsai

I hear ya about the Blue Ridge, I wasn't convinced about that either. That would be cool if it was a garf, I only paid $15 for the frag. I was hoping I had found some rare species of unnamed porites that I could give some fancy name like Strawberry Delight and then charge $100 a frag.

I'm thinking about placing it higher and seeing what color I get out of it.
