I had a hermit crab break off one of my smaller corals and it landed upside down. I had not notticed it being there for a couple of days. When I found it some of the tips had turned white. Should I leave it like this or prune off the white part?
Coral is a Stylophora species...fuzzy small polyps. Green with pink tips.

it may be fine to leave it alone... and the coral may recover the denuded skeleton, but I say play it safe and break it off clean just slightly past the bleached part.

kindly, Anthony
