i have the oppurtunity to pick up a used setup, including shipping for $50. it's comes with everything, except it missing one gasket.
will this setup be enough for my 44g unit?

Sounds pretty good to me, but I think it would be better if you had a little more LR (atleast 1 lb per gallon) What's in the fuge?

i'd like to add more lr but i have a corner tank. not sure if this tank will take the weight and the flow concern.
the little fuge has live sand and a few small pieces of lr. i'm looking to get a bigger hob fuge, like a cpr setup to help out.

Sounds good. Do you think the tank will hold the weight of the CPR fuge if you don't think it will hold more LR? I know you can get the CPR's small enough and it was just a thought.

i was thinking of adding the small cpr fuge, which probably holds max 2 gallons. hopefully this weight would be supported.
with adding more lr, my concern is that the tank has such a small footprint with adding more weight with such a small area for weight distrubtion.

Yeah...2 gallons of water is only equal to about 16 lbs and like you said, it won't all be on the base of the tank. Good luck with the setup!

Rob, I have the CPR bakpak on my 55 and its seems to work just fine.....beware, you will have to clean out the air intake veturi at the pump often...at least I do HTH

Hey Steve (sorry robzilla, but I have to hijack this thread a second...You can blame Ken for it though cause he taught me (LOL) I have to congradulate you once more...I just realized that you have only 248 posts and are MOTM! You must have really made an impression on the RF staff with a post count that low!!! LOL...Just kidding unless your post count wasn't screwed up a bit like Jiddy's
