Okay before long you all may think I am indeed a little anal but I will tell you what I discovered with these lumenarc III reflectors and mogul sockets. I don't know if the mogul sockets come from lumenarc or are included at the retailer (Custom Aquatic) but they were different!
I ordered two reflectors, they arrived together but one came with wingnuts and the other self locking nylon hex nuts. These parts are used to adjust the bracket to move the bulb within the reflector. Question did Lumenarc make a design change and I have both versions???
I am not sure which solution I like... the wingnut makes for easy adjustment but no self locking feature.
I will tell you that I switched out the zinc plated machine screws and non self locking nuts that came with the units, for stainless steel machine screws with nuts with nylon self locking feature.
Okay overkill maybe but I like to design for minimal and easy maintenance. It should outlive me if possible.
