Does anyone have any referalls for tank builders. Also, any cons to my design. I want a cube style that is 36x36x24. Which should be right around 90 gals if my math is right. I was thinking of a single rear center overflow. Let me know what you think.

Thanks guys. I have contacted both but have not received a reply yet. I will give them some more time. You know how it is when you get the approval from the wife, you want it yestarday.:D

Just double checkin the gallons.....

You might want to double check your math. Im getting more like 134 gallons. If weight is an issue, this may be a factor.

36 x 36 x 24 = 31,104

31,104 / 231 = 134.6 gallons

I dont know how thick of glass you plan on using, but even 1 inch glass would still be around 122 gallons(inside dimensions)

Corner tank

I have a 36x36x30 Oak Pentagon tank. Its 120 gal. I love it, except the canopy was made at a height of 6 inch, makeing it hard to put lighting in it.
I put T-5 in. This produces alot of lighting and enough Par for softies.
-- If you want MH, make sure to order at least a 12 inch top.
Good luck!

If you are going to make a custom tank, and dont mind paying atouch extra for it, i highly recommend a external coast to coast overflow.

You get the benefit of surface skimming the entire length of the tank, and dont have a overflow box in the tank taking up space and messing up flow.

Nothing but REEF :)

Ill never have another tank that doesnt have a external coast to coast

24" tall is good for viewing from the front but if you want it for a grow tank or to look down into i would go 18" or less. do a search on rf for clear fabrications tanks if you want something special. i think dragoneggs and a couple others have posted some pics of really nice tanks recently. if you want a standard cube you might ask brian @ iap for a quote. if you can handle the potential water splatter you might look into an eternity tank for something really different. http://cgi.ebay.com/Coral-Clam-Aqua...ryZ20755QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

PM sent. If you do have an extra 6" or so I would also reccommend the external CTC. The slight up-charge is worth it. (around $50)
