Dark Stuff All Over Rocks

My LFS in Spokane call Aquarium Solutions. She told me it was a rare one because the color was a lot brighter than usual. He's a beautiful fish, even when he goes into camo mode.

Here are some pics of it. They look like diatoms but much darker. I haven't had this kind of breakout before.

Does it have a lot of air bubbles forming on/in it? Looks like some kind of green slime algae..

In some spots yes, but majority no

I get that same stuff when I don't clean my skimmer out (CPRBAKPAK) and I don't do enough water changes. When I fix both my ugly stuff goes away. Just my .02 cents
