Looks like Eric Borneman, Ron Shimek, Anthony Calfo, and many others have left the staff at RC over a dispute of some sort. A number of old-timers and mods also left in some sort of huff. There are closed and deleted threads all over the place.
Normally I don't care about the drama at other boards, but this is a sizeable loss for RC, as these guys are generally considered by most as internationally recognized experts.

anyway, i got myself banned from RC (boo f****** hoo) because i just had to call all the mods a bunch of crybabies and tell them how lame their site is going to be without those awesome people as a resource. good riddance is all i have to say about that site now

WOW! That's a big blow to RC, but the egos over there have been growing exponentially anyway and I can't say I'm suprised that this finally came to a head.
Lesson here....always check the "so-called" facts before accepting them. Even a person that is claimed to be an expert makes mistakes (not directed at anyone...just a general statement).

With Eric Borneman, Ron Shimek and Anthony Calfo all leaving Reef Central, the lucky Forum that manages to get them as regulars may well become the new "Reef-Forum" leader.
I know quite a few of us Reefers have looked to the 3 of them for help and their knowledge, just as we have the great people we have here on Reef Frontiers. We have been very fortunate, because we do have such a wonderful knowledge base here. Never can have enough of that knowledge though... in an ever changing hobby like ours.
I don't see, that after the problems the 3 of them (and all the others) have just gone thru on that other Forum, any of them being enticed to help add to our knowledge base here, when their quotes are talked of as "rederick"... but I wish everyone that has felt the need to leave that other Forum all the best, and hope I'm able to draw on their knowledge and experience in the future.

Basically more he said she said and the same kind of accusations that got the whole ball rolling in the first place, just like he did when they went after Randy F, or Dr. Sprung or Goemans and so on. If one wants to debate or talk about any thing reef, I am all for it and everyone is welcome to join in and have thier opinion. When its going after people publicly then I just call it rederick.

...I have a funny feeling that RF's membership is going to increase more rapidly now...I just hope we keep this forum running the way has been, which would mean more of an effort on our part as members to keep things on a friendly level avoiding controversy...
