This doesn't completely belong in the forum, however, I felt it's very important for all!!

A MAJOR 8.9 Earthquake hit, north east of Japan, a few hours ago, resulting in a 33' Tsunami, coming ashore. Japan is one of the most prepared countries, in the world, when it comes to earthquake and tsunami disasters. However, this is beyond what anyone can possibly prepare for.

A tsunami warning is also in effect, throughout over 20 countries, along the entire Pacific Rim, including Hawaii.

Please keep all of these areas, countries and people, in our thoughts and prayers. Hitting close to home, this could have an effect on Les, of Wet Pets Hawaii, one of our Sponsors. Les, I hope you're safe!

The possibilities of tsunamis is reaching as far as Australia, the Marshall Islands and many more areas, along the entire Pacific Rim.

Wow Michael, I've been watching this all morning and is almost surreal footage coming from Japan and just now saw video from Santa Cruz showing the destruction of a Marina there. It looks like Hawaii escaped major harm, but my heart goes out to all the loss of life in Japan and surrounding countries.

Wishing the best for all the people affected by this event, Todd

Check out thisYou Tube video. It's a kid in Japan and the shaking is pretty violent in the beginning. Looks like it lasts for about 2:00 minutes in the tape and then starts up again. Kid drops a few F bombs so you may want to skip if you're at work.

Check out this video too. The Internet and TV had warnings up before the shaking began in earnest. Check out the monitor at the start of the video and you'll see some sort of countdown, then the shaking begins, and shortly thereafter a tsunami warning is posted showing the epicenter of the quake. Japanese technology was all over this.

This is some crazy stuff. So sad for all of the lives lost, homes etc. :doubt: . I couldn't imagine. Where I live, we have been so lucky the past few years missing every single hurricane that came this way. You have to be thankful. One thing you can't mess with is Mother Nature.
