so i used the acid with the water and i used like a 10 to 1 ratio(water/acid) just to be safe and it worked great, after i cleaned most of it i rinsed the hell out of it with the garden hose.
Is there anything else i need to do to get all the acid away/ so it wont keep on working over night?

i am only 1/2 way done cleaning the tank, a 100 gallon is alot bigger than i though.
What should i use to buff it out when done? something from drfosrters or marinedepot?

No its way overpriced. Fill it with tap water and use micromesh to get the scratches out. Then drain it and buff it with novus 3 and 2.

Don is there a safe way to remove small scratches in an established tank? Slightly off subject but sorta fits, I only have one small one up front that would be nice to remove.

Definatly. I have the micromesh with hook and loop. It goes under your magnetic cleaner. The assortment comes in grits from 800 to 12000. I'm not going to say its easy but its not all that bad of a job. I would concider this stuff a must have for a acrylic tank owner.
My clams are constantly trashing my tank so I spend alot of time sanding out scratches.:)
