What gives? I have heard that you should feed mysis shrimp and that brine shrimp has no nutitional value. Rods Reef Original formula has mysis shrimp in it so now I am getting confused. I have never heard that Mysis shrimp has no nutritional value.

I think he was just confused for a moment and meant brine shrimp.

Not to worry, mysis is good food!

Mysis shrimp of the saltwater variety are healthy and nutritious. Mysis shrimp of the freshwater variety are not. The problem is that most companies don't print exactly which kind of shrimp they are packaging. Most of the time when they list that it is "suitable for fresh and saltwater fish" it means they are actually a freshwater variety of Mysis and not a saltwater variety.

Yeah, I only get the saltwater variety, and usually buy it from Barrier Reef. Fish are fat and healthy.
