Eric B's Custom 225 Gallon

Just wanted to start a build thread on a Custom 225 Steel Stand/Acrylic Tank for Eric. As some of you know we have a mountain of work right now, and were firing on all cylinders to get quality product out to you guys.
We dug deep, and welded up the stand today, so it can get out to powder coat. Eric selected a deep blue color, and am excited to see how awesome it will look. The stand is 60x36x32 and was built with all 2x2x 3/16" square tube. We capped all the ends so no humidity can get to the inside of the tube. Her she is all finished. Enjoy, J

I love your steel stands Jason.
Having worked for a ornamental iron works shop years ago, I know the amount of work you put into these stands and I am amazed at your attention to detail.

General question on steel stands. What do you use a floor for the sump/equipment to sit on?

Dave,
Most people use 1" sheet of foam between the sump and floor. I have welded in rails to put 3/4" plywood. Lots of options. Jason

We picked up the Steel Stand from our Powder Coaters this morning, and it looks SWEET! I love this Blue! A quick stop by Eric's house, and it's ready to put in place.

I have never seen a blue stand before. I'm wondering if it's going to stand out a bit much? Very nice color though

It will be covered up 90% of the time, but will have removable panels when serious service need to be done. There are shades of blue all over the immediate area. Pic's do not do it justice. It is sharp.
When you order anything from CFI, you can have it your way, just like Burger King! J

Finally, got the tank pic's for you all!

Tank is a 60x36x25, all 1/2" clear 225 gallon. The OFB or overflow box is a Ghost style. Basically a 5 sided, short in height box, with bulkheads with double gaskets out the back. Check it out! Enjoy, Jason

Didn't say anything about the overflow because it looks like a common size overflow to me the ghost overflows I have seen are only a couple inches wide and the front come off for cleaning/installing bulkheads? Since the front comes off it allows for a very thin overflow getting into them from the top is not needed.
You for sure have quality skills do you share your products on other forums? That pipe clamp/rack you made is really nice

I'm not sold on the thin Ghost boxes. Looks like one could fail, and nobody wants that.
I share a little on other forums, the cost to be a sponsor of some of them has skyrocketed in the last few years. Something that I need to think about. Thanks for the thumbs up, J
