Excess nutrients suspected - larger volume water changes?

I'm afraid part of my recent algae problems may be due to overfeeding / excess nutrients. As part of the regimen to correct this - fresh Purigen and Chemipure included -would it be okay to do a 10-gallon per week water change on my Solana 34? I'll admit to being lax in the last few months, my 5-gallon weekly changes have slipped a few times.

Thanks, Ill be back on track soon. Going to be nicer and will be offering steel framing as an option.

I usually do about 10-15% water change weekly on my tanks which worked well for me. A 10 gal water change on this size tank would be really nice IMO.
