feather duster spew

Ok so I get out of the shower today to notice that my tank is turning a nice milky white. My first thought is the pistol shrimp has turned up a nice bit of sand. Nope not him at all. My feather duster is spewing a nice milky white substance out of the crown. Any thoughts on what this is. Do I need to remove it. The fish all seem to be fine for now. Thanks for your suggestions.
