Just noticed when replying to my thread on the photo forum that the new center-cut column type layout doesn't expand with the size of the images, so it cuts out photos that are wider then the center column. Would there be a way to widen the layout to at least 800 wide? Which would be an average screen res...

I would like to see it wider as well. It's less than half as wide as our 1920 display width. Beautiful job on the overall look though I must say.

When looking at some things (prior posts) the text box is transluscent.... and the font color is very similar to the blue background picture. Pretty much unreadable.

Ok on the width, that a bit of a tough one, as its different for each user pending on their setup. Mine for instance I see about 2 1/2 inches either side, some folks more and most see about an inch and a half. If I adjust for one I end up screwing up the others??
I guess I could put up an option for those that dont like so much of the background where it would show a default VB skin with the standard grey look?? I can look into that. The other option would be for the users that dont like it to just adjust their sets/monitor settings to not show so much??

Brie, I dont like that either even if the picture is to large for the normal it should extend past the post boundry, let me look into that.

Mytee, I have not see the picture attachment thing you are refering to, can you send me a link to where you are seeing it??

Danno I am working on that, but VB is not letting me do it like the rest of the board, I am having to hard code it, and everytime I do it screws up another part, so give me some time on that. You are talking about a users prior posts right??

Other then that thanks for the compliments

Mike

Mike,
If you adjust the page to be "70%" it should adjust to the user pretty well and give you the look you want. I am seeing about 4 to 4 1/2 inches on each side. I have a 20" wide monitor and a 24" wide shows about 5 to 5 1/2 inches. Res is set as high as my montiors will allow.

As far as the pictures in post goes, look for a nCode imager resizer (I think that is the name of it) it will resize the images in the posts pretty well and you can see the full site of them if you click on the top of them. You can set it to open in post or a new window.

the new layout not photo friendly at all i feel.
Photo sharing in pm's make the pictures super narrow.
Every time there is a photo anywhere you have to move the page left and right to see it and the option to do that isnt always right under the picture so you have to scroll down move the page over and scroll up to see the other half of the picture.
