Figured I'd start a thread, for everyone to post pics of fireworks. We did this last year, and it was a lot of fun. Let's get more pics posted this year!!!

Also, detail what type of camera you're using and settings used.

Canon 7D on Tripod in Bulb Setting, with wireless shutter remote.
Most exposures ranged from 2-4 seconds.
18-200mm IS lens at Focal length or 18mm
F13-F18
ISO 100

No editing at all. Pictures were uploaded to computer, uploaded to Flickr and then posted.

Thang, definitely do!! You've got the camera AND SKILLS for it!! Just make sure you use a tripod and a remote shutter release!! Bulb settings means that you press the shutter release to open the shutter, and then press the shutter release again, to close the shutter. So, you are in total control of how long the shutter is open. Follow the mortar into the sky and open the shutter about 1/2-1 second prior to the mortar exploding. Close the shutter after the bloom starts to fade. OR....

Leave the shutter open for 2 or 3 mortar explosions. Any more than 3, usually clutters up the picture too much, as you see in my second and third pictures.

Wow, that's something new to learn. Thanks, for the tip, Mike. One more thing, can you tell me how to capture... the sound? LOL..

LOL Sound huh? The "Boom" or the "oooooh.....ahhhhhhh?"

Some of the new DSLR cameras, including my Canon 7D, take great video, though I've yet to learn how to use it...lol. Other than that, a good video camera will work out for you!!

Another option, put the still pictures together, in a slide show, in Power Point, and use your amazing ability to create sound effects!! Just yell, "BOOM!!!!" and whisper "Ooooh...Ahhhhh," at all the appropriate times.

I wanna see the finished product!!

Wow... awesome photos.. Having attempted many a firework photo in my day, I know how hard it is to get them, really good job. I usually fail miserably. You have to know exactly the time and spot where they're going to "pop", so I usually get frustrated and give up. lol. You have my kudos.

Here's some of mine from last year, taken of those "ground flower" things.. I like how they turned out, each ones different and looks almost like weird digital fractal art. Other then cropping, the frame, and watermark, they're as is. Here's some metadata on one of the images, pretty sure it applies to all of them:
