Flatworms?

Well I can tell you so far, he doesn't like the New life spectrum pellet I put in the tank. It's been sitting on the bottom of the tank since yesterday. He's taken a couple marine mysis but he spits them out a couple seconds later so we'll see if that changes in the next couple days. I haven't tried any flake at all yet. I'm not one to keep detailed logs. When I start treating my fish keeping like that, it tends to stop being a hobby and feels more like work if you catch my meaning. I'll certainly let you know what it ends up eating and doesn't eat though.

Thanks for the info. The mysis are about an 1/8" when they are full. Most seem to be cut up a bit and are about half that size.

It's a 75g tank with 20g sump. The sand in the fuge is from my 29g. Like I said, there is several hundred pods on the front side of the glass. If there are that many on the front side of the glass alone, I'm sure there are a couple thousand in the tank total. Like I said, if I can get it to eat prepared foods I'm sure it will live a long productive life just as Lee's has as well as many others I'm sure. If I can't get him to eat prepared foods for some reason, I'm sure my 75g tank will be able to sustain him. If for some reason it can't, I'll find someone on here who can. Thanks for all the concern over my new fish, it's much appreciated.
Ah, cool! I think everyone was under the impression the Mandarin was going into a 29 gallon tank.

Wow I never seen a Mandarin eat flatworms before, but if so great. But I say kill them now and don't waste your time with trying to feed a mandarin flatworms.
This is a shot of flatworms that infested a tank and a friend came to me and I put two drops of flatworm exit in a bag and they all died right away:shock:

Speaking of flatworms!! I had a ton in my tank! Well, today I syphoned out all the visible ones with airline tubing. I couldn't even see the bottom of the bucket when I was done. After that I dosed some FlatwormExit. That stuff is crazy! Instantly they were dying and within an hour there was no visible sign of any flatworms in the tank. When they were dying, I was scooping them out with a fish net. I also put in some fresh carbon and started running that about an hour later. No ill effects on the corals or fish. Follow the instructions and have some extra water on hand just in case and this stuff works great!
