I agree with Alice. I think we're set on what the Club needs to provide. I don't recall many people sitting around at the last 2 swaps I've been to.

I've sent an e-mail and a PM to Klane to see if they're interested in the Membership position or just in helping out. We'll see if I get a response before the weekend.

Jeremy had said at the BBQ that he was interested in running for a position still, shall I just put him on the ballot for secretary or more than one position? Also, I'm assuming that Paul is still up for Pres?

I think I'm going to put a last call post in the Call for Nominations thread. If we don't hear anything new by this weekend, we'll stick with the candidates we've got.

Paul will be stepping down to let Mike run with it. I would email Jeremy and see what position he's interested in running for. Have we confirmed with Alice that she want's to be secretary? Alice, do you want to run for secretary?

Well friends, at the BBQ he told me he wants to RUN for everything. He said he'd make sure Steve, his boss nominates him also. That's what my ears heard, although he never responds to emails or checks the board for messages here.

I've heard back from both Kim and Jeremy. Kim is still interested in membership duties and Jeremy says he'd like to go for VP or Secretary.

So here's how the ballot's going to turn out, unless there are any more nominations in the next couple of days.

President - Mike + Write In
VP - Reed + Jeremy + Write In
Secretary - Alice + Jeremy + Write In
Treasurer - Colleen + Write In
Event Coordinator - Steve + Write In
Membership - Gordon + Kim + Write In

I'm also going to include board aliases for everyone (except Jeremy) so that board people know who's who.

On the ballot I will take the ballots to a sercret fair and balnced location and do the count personally to make sure everything is done fairly.

Since Jeremy's choosing to run for both VP and Secretary... it sounds like he's kind of flip flopping... but I hear that Reed and Alice have plans to attack the GSAS in search of WMDs (Weapons of Marine Destruction). I don't know who'll I'll vote for. :shock:

You guys are too funny. I've been trying to be so nice until I'm official. It's rather hard being politically correct, when I work for the state. I'm home with a sick kid, not surfing on state time.

On the Jeremy thing, I did send him an email and nicely asked what his plans were, as he hasn't said boo on emails or the board, and I wasn't interested in being part of the board if everyone wasn't working together. We already saw what happened when everyone went their own way and were not working together. I told him I needed to hear from him so I could vote correctly. :badgrin:
