Thanks for all the useful info. I will make a baffle. I can make it tall so that water coming is going to be somewhat quiet. It is very nice to get all this info in advance. Thanks everyone.

what kind of light do you have?when i bought my tank they didnt say anything about a new light.it came with a regular flourescent light.my nitrates did the same as yours.i bought a good light, $400.and it fixed it.i guess my live rock was dying.good luck

Probably time, not the light. You dont need much light if all your keeping is fish.

What I meant was adding $400 worth of lights doesnt effect nitrates vs normal low output lights.
