I have a 40 gallon breeder. Dimensions are 17"High 18"Wide 36"Long.
I have a couple of softies in there like two different kinds of pulsing xenias, a few different kinds of zoanthids, some mushrooms, and some green star polyp. I have 6 T5 lights on the tank, 3 blue actinic and 3 10,000k bulbs. Anyway what im asking is what clam would you guys recommend and a few hard corals that would do well in my tank also:?:.

Do your T5HO lights have individual reflectors? If so, you can put anything you want in that tank....at least with the lighting issue.

T5HO down to about 24" will support most anything. With very high light demanding Acropora, T. maxima or T. squamosa clams, I'd keep them in the upper 2/3s of the tank. Other than that, you're good to go. I'd suggest a little different bulb mix, but that's more for color than the ability to keep life. Although replacing 1 blue with a 10K will help the tank inhabitants.

i have 2 fixtures actually. one of them just holds two T5 bulbs and has one of each. i was thinking about putting another actinic in it but i didnt know if you guys would think it would stupid or a waste of money, but thats good to hear you recommend it actually. the other fixture holds two of each bulb and 6 leds but each bulb on that has its own reflector which really brightens the tank. i will get some pictures tomarrow because im buying a camera.
