Just go slow. Don't rush getting things setup and read everything you can. If you have questions, come on here and ask, they will always have someone here with an answer. I worked out of a 36 gallon tank for a year until I upgraded. I have that tank, stand and a T5 light for sale for $150.

I'm going unbelievably slow it feels like! I'm going to have to do it a month at a time. Tank, stand, sump first. I want rimless, either 100 or 120. Having trouble finding/deciding. I like the price of the cad lights 100 and I've read lots of good reviews of their tanks. I will get a custom made stand, probably from the man on this forum. I'd really like to have a display refugium in one corner of the stand and possibly a mangrove tank on the other side. I've been looking at Lifereef sump/refugiums. His systems look like they could do what I want, with the display refugium(s). Plus, lots of good reviews but pretty expensive.

As far as lighting and pumps I'm looking at AI vega or radions, and vortechs or tunze. I like the mounting options for the AI. But I like the ability for the ecotech stuff to work together. Thoughts anyone?

This looks like it's going to cost me a bunch, but I'd rather go slow and get what I want then not be satisfied in the long run. Just my opinion.

If anyone has thoughts on any of these things, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks!

Matt

I highly recommend LifeReef Systems. I have bought and overflow and a protein skimmer from him (Jeff). He has great products that he makes and sells, and his customer service is great. I must have asked him a hundred questions regarding the overflow before I bought it and he was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend him.
