:?: Dunno.. Any ideas??? He's not much of a sand sifter.. but when he does.. jees.... makes a bloody mess and causes one heck of a sand storm!:D
 
It has some markings similar to Istigobius decoratus, except for that yellow tip. Is it from Australia? do you know.
 
I dont know where he came from... I was givin him almost 2 years ago from someone leaving the hobbie, and they got him from a LFS. I guess I could ask the local fish store where they get there orders from.. that would help narrow it down huh!?:rolleyes:
 
The Istigobius decoratus is from the Australian coast and if this wasn't from that area then. . .nevermind. ;)

But if it was from the Australian coast, it might be a variant of that species. :confused:
 
Hi there.

That IMO is an 'Ornate Goby', Istigobius ornatus, which has a wide-range, all the way from the Red Sea to Micronesia..

The genus has 11 known species, which somewhat look alike. Here's a quick reference:
