The system I am considering has a bit larger footprint - 24 x 24 but it's not a true cube - 16" high. It's a custom all-in-one. I do recall early on there was advice that a larger tank is actually less "touchy" when things get out of whack a bit - do you agree?

IMO the more water the better.

True story, i started with a 13, then a 20, then a 29, now a 90. Each step up was more stable for me =) I think 90 is perfect sized too, i would like larger, but just takes more space and money.

agree on size, i went from the 34g solana to a 57g illuminata and this weekend moved everythign over to my new 100g cadlights. i'm in love with my new tank (48X24X20). Only 625 + shipping and the tank is top notch (thick starfire glass)! i'll put up a build thread this weekend, but ordering some big rock showpieces to add, so my rock work is lame now.
