I'm sure I will be picked to pieces for saying this especially seeing now I am labelled as a "mod" which puts me even under a magnifying glass more than before, but anyways, I agree with Brad here...That is what the forum is here for. To ask questions. I feel when a person becomes afraid to ask a question, then we have a problem! We may not all agree with some people's approach to things because it may not be the way we were taught to do things, but that's why there is a such thing as constructive criticism. That's why I reply the way I do to things
in a nice way...It gets the point across while at the same time making the other person still feel comfortable about being here. Just like my reply on Jon's last thread (burning2nd's). I didn't agree with how he threw something in his tank without knowing about it because it was free, but no reason for me to be mean about it and bash him. Maybe he didn't know any better...How am I supposed to know that? The same goes for other members...If a newbie saw a person being attacked for asking a question, they may never ask a question here ever so I think we should all try our best to help one another out and be as nice as we can when we can. I feel if you can't say something nice sometimes, better to not say anything at all and ignore a thread/post. Just my 2 cents...And it has nothing to do with your post Matt. You know we're cool
...I'm just speaking generally because I see it played out time and time again
About your gorgonians Jon, mine aren't exactly the same, but mine came out of the ocean in waist high water where there is a lot of flow and of course, a lot of light. So I try to mimic that in my tank and so far, things are going well. I havent had any die on my yet, but like some mentioned before, it may take a bit longer than a few months to see its decline. I guess I'll know if I'm doing the right thing in another few months, but so far, it's high flow, good lighting and I feed coral frenzy and stir up detritus
