Hello NSR my name is Ed. I live in Oak Harbor and like most of us here I am in the Navy. I am lucky enough though to be sationed in my home town so I am a tried and true North Sounder and I wouldn't consider myself a complete nube but I have a lot of learning to do.
I was recently pointed to this and the PSAS web site by NWDiver on an excursion I made to Everson this week. Might I say 750 gallons of pure reef awesomeness was something I am glad I skipped work to see. I also met some really great guys and learned a thing or two. I am currently working on taking our tank (90 gallon show) to the next level. I am going to add an RO/DI system as I think my city water is contributing to my algae bloom. The Culigan man was nice enough to spare some water, at a higher price than I would like to keep paying, for my planned partial water change tomorrow. I was wondering. Should I stick to a partial and leave it at that until my next scheduled one or give it a week and do another? I plan on doing about a 20% this time 20 gallons total. Also what RO/DI units do you recommend without breaking the bank? Last but not least are there any good Marine Aquarium stores up north without having to drive all the way to Seattle? I look forward to learning along the way and hopefully meeting quite a few members.
GO HAWKS!! :cheer2:
