Newly established tank less than 4 months old, in the past week I've noticed green algae on majority of my rocks they have this green tint, not GHA I have finally beat that w/water changes and a phosphate reactor. The green algae only started after the addition of my phoshate reactor? Whats the deal? Just tested water parameters 0ppm of nitrites, nitrates, phosphates Ph is 8.2 Alk is 9.0 Cal is 440. Any ideals?

When was the last time you changed the media in the phos reactor? What's probably happening is the algae is using up whatever phosphates may be in the water too quickly for you to get any sign on your test.

Green tint is normal. Should have actually appeared just a few weeks after tank was set up. It will eventually be defeated by Coraline algae.

Phosphate reactor media is 2 weeks old, and as far as the coraline alage it is slowly starting to take over. I grow chaeto in the main tank and that is starting to take off could this be a source for the green algae?
