I'll be moving at the end of the week. As I plan out my tank move, I'm coming up against a green star polyp conundrum. I've really admired tanks with green star polyp carpets on the back wall, and a few months ago transplanted some of mine onto the back wall. The colonies are a couple of inches across now. When I move I'll be draining the water out of the tank. All other living things can be moved in buckets and coolers, but that GSP is going to be left high and dry. So my question:

Can GSP survive out of the water for the ~4 hours of the move, or should I razor them off the wall and reattach them when the tank gets to its new home? The colonies aren't too large, so it's reasonable to detach them if that's the right way to go, I'm just hoping to keep the move as simple as possible.

Thanks!

If you can keep them wet at warm they should be ok but I would take a razor and cut it away and re-glue it when you get it set back up.
