So I saw the last thread on this forum where people discussed growth updating, here is a chance to show pictures of the growth of individual corals(Softies, LPS, and SPS)
I'm going to start with some of my favorites.
Feel free to pitch in :D

Tri-color acro (notice the colour difference?)

Growth wasnt as good as it could be at first as I always changed a lot and moved the tank but I'm happy with it. Now its really starting to take off

Tri-color acro looks awesome now! Got more pics? My stupid external hard drive locked me out and I have just about 0 pictures now. Sucks!

Now a question for Gordonius, you have been asking for growth records since July in a post in Anthony calfo's forum. Has your hard drive been bad since then? I would like to see some of your pics.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I've never posted here before so I would like to introduce my tank in your thread. These pic's represent about eight months growth.

Very nice growth! This tank really has potential, you just need to get the hair algae under control :D
Could you please tell us a little more about your system?

Oh and welcome to Reef Frontiers!!!

210 display 350 total system volume. Three 400 watt 10K metal halide 640 watt aquasun vho, two sequence darts on closed loop ,Ilwaki md 40 for return run through two seaswirls.

I use two part for alk and ca supplementation.

That's not hair algae, it's worse some kind of hydroid. It's been in the tank for a long time but wasn't a problem till I started hatching brine shrimp for my pipe fish. The stuff eats the brine shrimp. It has a sting that bothers some of the corals other corals will kill it.

I need to take some good close ups of it and get an ID maybe someone will know off a natural control for it . Right now I have to pull about five pounds of it out of the tank every two weeks.

It's a dragon faced pipe fish. If I were to get rid of him and stop feeding the brine shrimp, that would be a solution to the hydroid problem.

But now he's my favorite fish in the tank. His mate died. She had an injury when I got her and died a couple of weeks later. I'm planning on getting three more. It's very cool watching them pair up and move about the tank together.

One other possible solution to the hydroid problem might be pod culturing. Brine shrimp just bumble around the tank till there eaten. Pods might be better at not getting eaten.

Dragon faced pipefish are actually pretty easy to get on frozen food(compared to other pipefish). Try prawn rowe, even my mandarin loves that stuff

soyadrink I would like to try that where did you get the prawn roe or do you have a name brand I could google?

Just realized I've moved your thread off topic. Here's another growth pic I found this one grows so slow I didn't no it had changed.
