Quite a few members have told me over the past few months to get this post up, but I've held off until it was set up. Well today rock and sand are in the tank, and water is flowing from my RO/DI. I'll get pictures up in the next couple days, right now it just looks like a mess because the sand was just moist enough to clump.

We would be very excited to see the picture of a wet clump.
It wold be a nice change from the cloudy water shots we have all seen.

YEP...Where are the pictures? we want to see it...J/K. Take your time...the longer we wait the better pictures we see I guess.

It is coming along slowly, my RO/DI is only a 50GPD and only running when I'm awake in the evening.

HEY jOE, I will run you 15 gals tomorrow morning, I have 3 5 gallon jugs with caps for easy transport. stop by the house to pick up anytime tomorrow. (tuesday) cant wait to see this tank set up, have many many fond memories of it.

Awesome that'll help speed things up. I'm considering trying to find a way to hook up one of my cheapo maxi-jet power heads to the intake line of my filter, see if I can't super charge it lol

Minor delay, my cheapo RO/DI stopped producing water. I'm going to try to fix it today but if not I have a new one already ordered from BRS.

:smow: :censored: :censored: :boom:

My new 75 GPD 4 stage RO/DI showed up today...and the feed fixture to the first filter was in pieces inside the bubble wrap. I'm calling BRS in the morning to get it replaced but this is yet another wrench in the gear works. The rate I am going I might get this tank flowing this year XD

hey joe, i think i have an extra one of those fittings. Going to bed, call me Friday morning and remind me to look. Pretty sure i have one.

Well I just got off the phone with BRS, they're going to send me new fixtures. The one on the Dow Filter was also broken on the same side. Sadly it'll be thursday before the replacements arive.

Well if you need ro-di water I can give ya some. Or if you'll pay gas we can go to seattle aquarium and get there water.

Ok, got the fittings form Ichthys and they work! Mostly... the one to the sediment filter leaks a tiny bit but I'm afraid to tighten it more.

Sorry, I should have given you some Teflon tape when you came over and got the fittings. If you buy some, don't get the cheap white stuff. Get the blue. Its thicker, stronger, and hey, its blue, how cool is that? They also have a yellow kind, I think it is used for gas fittings like on a furnace. Glad the fittings worked out. I am ordering some stuff from BRS tomorrow, let me know if you need anything. I would recommend a few extra sediment filters as our water in Federal way is crud. My sedi filter turns orange brown in 3 months, and plugs up completely in 6. I replace the sedis every 3 months and I use the GE ROsave Depth filters, they are a bit more but worth it.

Hmm, well I know my TDS meter keeps saying the incoming water is 009...I think I need to play with it more.
