GSP perma pizzed.

My GSP used to be a flowing gorgeous site, but lately it seems like it's pretty mad and barely comes out anymore.. The rock it is on is totally encrusted with no more room for growth, could this be why it's angry? No more room?
All of my other corals seem totally fine except this guy.

huh i lost a rock of them from a sponge that got crushed when i moved them .welp have plenty to give away on a frag rack if over this way

Doh sorry i missed the replies. The GSP recovered and seems totally fine now, I took it out and scrubbed it off gently and waited. About a week or two later it kept slowly opening more and more. I thought for awhile i was going to lose the rock because they weren't open for weeks, a polyp here and there but i figured they would starve out from lack of light.
