I've been a member of PSAS out here for about 2 years now? My tank is a little over 2 1/2 years old. It started out like many people's with the goal of a mixed reef with the idea that I wanted SPS dominant. I just wasn't patient enough. Now, I'm in the process of pulling out corals that have been a little invasive and threatening to my growing SPS collection and older SPS that take up a lot of room with less attractive colors. Anyway, I have a relatively extensive build thread on the local forum that isn't worth repeating. I'll get some pictures up and look forward to sharing the experience with the masses.

I'm going to do my best to embed a youtube video I put together not too long ago that gives a little more life to the tank.

<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/mySUYUb6krk?version=3&feature=player_detailpage"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/mySUYUb6krk?version=3&feature=player_detailpage" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></object>

Beautiful tank!! Love the SPS!! Thanks for the pics...spammer....lol kidding..kidding. :) and WELCOME!!

I'm sure spam is a huge issue on a forum with this level of visibility, but I think of it like I did when I was a kid and my parents yelled at me for not calling to them I was OK when I took a trip alone up to Alaska to do some work for Habitat for Humanity. I knew I was OK. Why were they so upset? What's the big deal? I know I'm not spam. Just don't ask my wife. She doesn't need another adjective to describe me.

Thanks for the compliments and the warm welcome.

looks like you're about ready to do some fragging and selling or trading?? I've learned in the past few days of being on this site...that this is a good place to do so. I've gotten so many different corals in just the past couple weeks alone..for great deals and from great people with good outlooks on the hobby. That's a plus considering how expensive this hobby got...FAST!

Tank looks amazing, looks to me like you are running LED's is this true, if so what percentage of that growth would you say is from the lighting. Your tank really looks awesome and is inspiring me to go SPS and LPS on my next tank.

Very, very nice. Looks really beautiful. We would love to see it in person some time.

Welcome to RF spammer!! Joking:p. Beautiful tank!! Thanks for sharing some pics!! Got any full tank shots of your entire setup?

Hope you enjoy it here! :)

You have some beautiful sticks :) I love a good SPS tank.

Don't feel bad I think Krish may think I'm a spammer as well :tape: Just kidding

I'll start posting up the details of my tank soon. You're right about me being ready to do some pruning. I want to learn the in's and out's of this forum before I post anything up for sale. I don't want to step on anyone's toes. This isn't a money making prospect for me, but I do have some SPS frags and colonies that could use a new home.

Thanks. Whidbey isn't a bad place to be stationed! Me and my wife stayed at the AF Inn up there last summer and biked around the Island. Beautiful. You have a sharp eye for noticing the LED shimmer. Actually, I'll go into more detail soon, but I'm running 2x250 MH, numerous T-5, and some LEDs as an experiment and to hit some areas I couldn't easily get to otherwise. LED's as a main light source are a in the planning stage.

Eric & Becca, I'm looking forward to reading through your thread and how the LED process went for you. (by the way, I'm the short thick guy that was asking a lot of LED questions at the last PSAS meeting) Thanks for the compliments and stopping by.

I like the picture from the end of the tank looking down over the corals because it makes the tank feel full. Seeing it from the front in one shot, I realize how much room there is to fill in. But, then if it was filled in, I would be depressed because there would be no room for the impulse buys. :) I guess you just can't please me. I'll try and find a pic that is a happy medium. Thanks for the warm welcome.
