Luisse, that's incredible!! I just watched it, and then made Angie come watch it with me, a second time! What an awe inspiring thing that must have been, to get to witness in person!

yesthats why im so loud in the background talking....i wanted to take the harlequin out so i can get all the eggs and try to at least save them but i know it is impossible...the fish went crazy and ate everything....this is the very first time we saw it lay eggs usually we just see the tank full of harlequin fry....
i have another video that we took and it is better because u can see the male helping the female lay eggs and much clearer and more focus....i will post it later..

That's really cool that you were able to catch it on video... She isn't laying eggs though, she is actually broadcasting her young. There is a good info page on Chucks Addition on breeding. Harlequin Shrimp

i might try to breed them...just try...i always catch the female broadcasting/lay eggs(fry).....the female always comes out and walk around when she's broadcasting her eggs....
