So these things are everywhere in my 30 gal tank. On the rock, on my snails, on my seaweed clip.

Does anyone know what they are and if I should be worried.

Thansk

Doesn't really look like an aiptasia or majano anemone, but the fact that they're "everywhere" in your 30 gallon tank would tend to cause worry. That alone, leads me to believe they're probably aiptasia, but you might wait for a more positive ID before deciding how to procede.

those look awesome! like mini sun polyps. put one alone and try to grow it to see if it helps. doesn't look like majano, I now have one and it never split.

Maybe they are sun coral babies?? I found this pic on the web.

I always thought they just grew, maybe they send out little things?

kinda like the kenya tree does with cast off limbs. LOL
i would want some small things........I've been looking 4ever for them.

I dont know if I can keep them alive. Their mother eats like a pig. I will have to start adding some zooplankton or marinesnow since they are so small.

Anyone ever seen a suncoral growing on a snail? magfloat? Ive seen them on the 2 snails on the glass and there is 2 on the magfloat! Ohh yea and the one on the seaweed clip.

Idono, some of those pics don't look like suncorals. The good thing is time will tell : )

They are, Im pretty sure, I guess my suncoral spawned. I didnt know they did. We will see how many I can keep alive.

Those are definitely Sun Polyp babies. Our sun coral spawned and continues to spawn little babies just like that all over our tank. We just leave them where they where they are until they get larger. As they get bigger we've been pulling them up and gluing them to a piece of rubble rock.

Here's a pic of some of the little offspring we collected yesterday.

Did you try and feed them?

No, they seemed to be able to filter enough food out of the water on their own. The larger ones that are now consilidated onto the rubble rock I may start target feeding.

I posted this link in another sun coral thread the other day. I found it on another forum.

Watch your tank, you may see little yellow specs floating around occasionally. I've been noticing them again recently.
