The primer goes on the out side of the pipe and the inside of the fitting. This is the same place you will apply the cement to also. Once this is done, slide the 2 pieces together give a couple twists to spread the cement and then hold for a few seconds. That's it.

ok the primer is purple is that ok

do i really need the primer??? will the cement be ok by its self???

is the primer aquarium safe if dry???

thank you i just posted the same question on my live sand or not thread trying to get a quyick response so thanks

welkll im off to plumb my 125 im doing a step by step for later novice like me

thanks you guys!!!

ok lil dillema here my plumbing is to low for my 29 so odviously it ain't gonna fit

How can I cut the plumbing and refit the joints since it already was preglued before I bought it

Is it possible to do

Easy as Pie!

Measure how much you need to raise it, cut the pipe in two places where you can remove what is too much & go out & buy what they call a coupler, what it does is connect two straight pieces of pvc pipe together, you may have to remove a little extra because the coupler will extend the pipe some, very little you can measure it inside of the coupler. Remember to prime inside the coupler & the outside pipe first before you glue. Also you can try & put it together without glues or primer after you made the cuts to see how well it will fit, they call that Dry fitting.
