Hey Chad,

Nice tank! I thought that fine workmanship looked familiar - especially the trick edging. Jason just built me a new 360 display and 2-100 g tanks. One for the fuge and one for the sump.
Its all set up and amazingly beautiful.

What type of skimmers are you running? Are you going to get a new one?

Currently I have two 250 SWC's on mine but am looking in getting a ATB Deluxe 12.5 skimmer. Its a big purchase and just wanted to see what folks think.

This tank is coming together nicely :)

I know all about the pocket book getting a beating. I had no idea how expencive this hobby was when I got in to it. Probably for the best I might not have started.

ya i totaly understand. i enjoy my fish tanks so much. i guess i just dont care how much i spend on it. well thanks to all the kind people that stopped by and bought coral out of my 150 gallon. it all helped to get this tank going.

so here is my update. today i went and bought a american dj strip and a label maker. i put labels on it saying what it goes to. so when i want to look at my tank from the top side i can just flip some switches instead of having to unplug all your pumps. here is a picture

hey thanks Jim. i will have to try that out. so the other day i picked up 3 times for my 3 closed loops. got them all hooked up to the dj power strip. today i did a water change on my 150 gallon reef and pumped the old water right into my sump and refuse of my 360 gallon. put a couple maxi jets and got it running. put sand in my refuse and a few pieces of live rock. also went to a local fish store and bought 10 nassarius snails, 5 blue leg hermit crabs, 2 camel shrimp, 2 peppermint shrimp, and a orange spot shrimp goby. here is some pictures

Have you decided what k rating on the bulb you are going to use?

yes i am going to stick with whats on my 150 gallon. i have been running blueline bulbs for over 10 years now. so on this new tank i will be running 4 400 watt blueline 14k bulbs. i really like the blue color of the bulbs.

well no update on the tank. yesterday my mom had to call 911 for my dad. well story short. dad had a heart attack and had to have surgery. he is doing well. so that is where i have been for the last 2 days.

So sorry to hear this Chad but we are happy he is doing well. Please know your family is in our thoughts and we are hoping all continues to move in a positive direction.
